2 time Olympic swimmer

Much to our surprise, many people tend to think that professional athletes were born with a natural talent and are lucky. This couldn't be any further from the truth; athletes put blood, sweat and tears into practicing and perfecting their skills. There is plenty of knowledge and value to gain from shaping ourselves to think more like this great athlete.

Some of you may have now seen the announcement on my retirement from swimming, which has been one of the most challenging decisions I have had to make, especially, as I wanted a better ending to my career. However, I want to make sure everyone knows that I am now `hanging up my costumes` from competitive swimming and wanted to take the opportunity to say "Thank you" to everyone that has been part of my journey! Family, Coaches, Friends, without all of your support I wouldn’t have become one the best in the world and competed on a world stage at the Olympic Games finals twice! My swimming journey has given me so many amazing memories, lots of funny ones and plenty of emotional ones. I have made some incredible friends throughout career, who will always be in my life and have made my journey even more special. I have been fortunate to travel the world with Swimming and it has been an exciting rollercoaster ride. Swimming has made me who I am today and I want to say a massive "Thank you" again to everyone involved, especially to my family for going through this insane journey with me. You made it possible! I will miss being part of a team and representing my country, but I will still be supporting all my friends who are still giving it all! I have certainly enjoyed being a beast while I could. I’m proud of all my successes and being the 1st British female ever to swim in both 100m &200m Butterfly Olympic final is pretty cool. Thank you everyone! Already enjoying my new adventure!!!!!! ‍♀️ ‍♀️ ‍♀️ ‍♀️ ‍♀️
